How Fakturia works

Fakturia connects Slovak businesses to the mandatory eFaktúra system through certified Peppol infrastructure.

What changes in 2027

From 1 January 2027 the amended Slovak VAT Act (Act No. 385/2025 Coll.) introduces mandatory structured electronic invoicing for the transactions it covers.

An e-invoice must be a machine-readable document (Peppol BIS / UBL) delivered through a certified delivery service provider — the Financial Administration does not accept invoices directly from businesses.

  2. Register the company in Fakturia — this creates your organization with the certified provider.
  3. On the Financial Administration portal choose eFaktura s. r. o. as your delivery provider, with Fakturia as intermediary. You receive a verification code.
  4. Enter the code in Fakturia. Your Peppol participant is activated and you can send and receive.

Who it is for

  • Companies with their own ERP, CRM or spreadsheet process that do not want to replace it.
  • Accounting firms that manage invoicing for several clients.
  • Foreign invoicing systems that need to reach Slovak buyers.
